BZ Recipies of the Moment!

Dad’s Granola

Ingredients-
Honey, Peanut Butter, Vanilla, Wheat Germ, Flaxseed Meal, Old Fashioned Oats

Directions-
First mix 1 cup of honey with ½ teaspoon of vanilla together, then heat until honey thins out.
Second add to this honey mixture 1 ¼ cup Skippy peanut butter and 1 cup of organic peanut butter (can use creamy or crunchy peanut butter)
Then mix this until it’s creamy and smooth!
Next add:
1/3 cup wheat germ
1/3 cup flaxseed meal
2 ¼ cups old fashioned oats
MIX ALL OF THIS TOGETHER!

Finally, take the mixture and press it into a 10x10 round pan, COVER and refrigerate this, and after 1 hour you can cut it into squares and ENJOY!
Options to add in-
You can also put in raisons or chocolate chips to mixture for a excellent change to the recipe.


Macaroni & Cheese Deluxe

Ingredients-
1 box of large macaroni
2 tbs. butter
2 tbs. flour
2 Cup milk
5 to 6 Cup of grated orange extra sharp cheddar cheese
¼ tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. salt
2 dash pepper
2 Cup sour cream
1 28 or 32 oz. can of peeled Italian plum tomatoes

Directions-
Cook the macaroni according to the package directions.
Melt the butter and blend in the flour.
Gradually add the milk and heat, stirring constantly until thickened.
Add the cheese, mustard, salt & pepper.
Heat until cheese is just melted. Stir in sour cream.
Layer the macaroni(1/3) in the casserole, followed by the whole tomatoes (broken into pieces over the macaroni) then the sauce.
Repeat in three layers, finishing with the sauce.

Bake at 350 for 30 to 40 minutes until browned on the top.

This makes 1 ½ to 2 quart casseroles.
This recipe above is for one casserole.
*You can also use whole wheat pasta and add mashed cauliflower for added nutritional value for everyone in your family to enjoy!

Chicken Marsala!

(serves 4) Prep. time- 10 minutes Cook Time- 20 minutes
Ingredients-
4 tbsp. of butter (may need more)
¼ cup of dry Marsala
4 skinless boneless (or can use 8 or 9 chicken tenderloins)
1 c. of chicken broth
Breadcrumbs
1 tsp. lemon juice
Flour
½ pound of s (sliced)
Salt & pepper
1 onion chopped
Directions-
Pound chicken thin.
Dip chicken in breadcrumbs and then in flour.
Sauté chicken in butter at least 3 minutes each side.
Remove and set aside.
In same pan, adding butter if needed, sauté onion and s.
Remove from pan and add Marsala to pan and bring to a boil scarping up any browned bits from pan.
Add cream, lemon juice and chicken broth and return to a boil.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
If you want to thicken up sauce, mix a small amount of cornstarch with cold water.

Return chicken to pan and cook, turning in sauce, for about 3-5 minutes to reheat and finish cooking.
Voila! ENJOY!

Crab Bisque Soup!

Ingredients-
1 onion
2 stalks of celery
5 tbsp. of butter
Flour
Directions-
Chop vegetables finely and saute in a large pan with the butter.
Add flour to make a stiff roux.
Cook over low heat, stirring often until very lightly browned.
Set aside.
Ingredients cont.-
2 cans Cream of soup
2 cans of tomato bisque soup
2/3 cup dry sherry
1 cup milk
1 1/2 cups light cream
2 7 oz. cans of crab with liquid(could use lobster but lobster is more expensive)
3 tbsp. butter
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions cont.-
Saute crab in butter.
Then add above ingredients plus the vegetables that you sat aside.
You may want to double things to make more soup!
Put in crock pot on low for the day,
and then at dinner or whenever you have a delicious soup!
